This is old news by now, but I kept forgetting to post something about it. John Garcia, the legendary Kyuss/Vista Chino frontman, has announced that his solo album will be released on August 1 via Napalm Records. Now I don't know anything about what the album will sound like, but John gets a pass for now because he's one of my favorite singers of all time. The album was recorded in Palm Springs and based on the cover, it looks like we're in for some classic desert rock, which will sound pretty damn good in the August heat here in Cincinnati. I'm looking forward to sharing more details as they become available.
