The guys in Mangrenade have been hard at work writing new material for their new record, and now we have some news on that front from guitarist/vocalist Nick Thieme, courtesy of the band's Facebook page:

I'm very pleased to announce that the writing for the first part of our new record is complete, well, damn near anyways....have a few things to button up still....
So without further ado, I announce the title. Severed Part One. It's going to be a 5 song EP, to be followed with Severed Part Two (also a 5 song EP) that will be out later this year or early next. Stay tuned for more details. Thanks for your continued support and we love you all. We can't wait to get back out there in front of you."

Following up on their recent CEA award for Best Rock Band, Cincinnati psych-rockers Electric Citizen have announced a deal with Easyrider Records out of Los Angeles to release their debut album. That's awesome news for those guys and gal.
